ADAC does not reveal which car seats have been selected until they announce their results, so parents can be sure the scores are unbiased and objective.

What do the ratings mean?
ADAC tests on 3 criteria—safety, ergonomics and ease of use—and gives the car seat an overall score. It's important to keep in mind that the lower the number the better! A score from 0.6 to 1.5 is determined 'Very good' and receives 5 stars. 1.6 to 2.5 is 'Good' for a 4-star rating. A 'Satisfactory' 3-star rating is between 2.6 to 3.5. Anything from 3.6 to 4.5 is 'Sufficient' and a rating above 4.6 is 'Inadequate'.
